Your HVAC equipment is extremely valuable. Do you feel confident that your HVAC contractor can properly install and maintain your systems? By insisting on working only with NATE certified technicians, you can rest assured that both you and your equipment will be in the best possible hands.
What is NATE?
North American Technicians Excellence (NATE) is a not-for-profit organization that aims to raise the bar for superior services rendered by heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians. Technicians can receive their certifications in any number of specialty areas, such as air conditioning, heat pumps, air distribution, gas furnaces, oil furnaces, refrigeration, senior HVAC efficiency analyst and others. For each certification, the technician must prove his or her knowledge and expertise by passing an exhaustive exam put together by a panel of industry experts.
What are the advantages of working with a NATE-certified technician?
When you make the decision to work with a NATE technician, you can expect a number of benefits including:
- Efficient service – Because of their expertise, NATE-certified technicians are able to identify the problem and get the job done efficiently so you can put your time to better use.
- Quality work – Just because they work quickly doesn’t mean the job won’t get done right the first time. NATE technicians receive far fewer callbacks on installations and services.
- Current knowledge – Certified technicians are required to stay on top of their industry knowledge and education if they hope to renew their certifications. In order to be re-certified, each technician must either re-pass the difficult exam before the expiration date lapses or prove that they have subjected themselves to at least 60 hours of continuing education in their designated field(s). In this way, you can enjoy the peace of mind that your expensive heating and cooling equipment will be well cared for.
